Assistant Director-Choreographer-Actors-Banquet Servers ALL PAID!!!

Seeking to hire a fun, creative, positive minded, reliable and responsible choreographer for our teen cabaret company. You will be working with a great group of teens teaching dance and choreography to songs for "THE TV SHOW SHOW!" (TV songs through the ages) If you can sing-even better- as the performers will be singing and dancing in this Cabaret show and do well with some vocal leadership, BUT this is not mandatory as they will get vocal coaching from another teacher as well.  The group typically has about 14 students in it. We will provide some video for you to watch some of their past performances. We look for high energy, exciting staging to entertain the house, and challenge the students. Simple lifts, etc. have been part of their previous training. You will be working with students who are not trained dancers necessarily, but musical theater style performers. A strong commitment to the schedule is needed as there will not be a back up option.

We prefer to work with someone who would be interested in a longer term position with the company, as we do not wish to hire new every season.  We work on all different styles of music from different eras, pop, rock and Broadway. This particular show is a little different from our "norm" but we are excited to make it fun in a game show style setting that will include some audience participation.  Turn on your creative gears and come check it out!

Typical schedule is Saturdays 1:00-2:30pm with a few days that flex in the season. A full schedule can be requested if you wish to look further. We begin Fall/Winter Semester in mid Sept. and work through early January as the students take their class work to the stage for 3 performances. A $400 stipend is paid at the completion of the season. If you wish to take on helping with some of the musical theater dances, we can bump that to $500.

Please submit note of interest along with resume. Looking to hire asap. Studio is located at 6404 Bass Lake Road in Crystal, MN. Top Hat Theatre. Director: Pamela Russell

Looking to hire an assistant director/teacher who is comfortable teaching musical theater and basic choreography. You will not have to develop the dances or staging (although you COULD), but learn them and be able to handle a classroom on your own from time to time as there are dates this season that the head teacher will be out. The ability to offer vocal leadership is a huge plus. Saturday availability from 9:30am-5:15pm is necessary, though some flexibility is definitely in the cards Mid September start, through early January. Ages of students range from 4-19years old. Stipend of $1,000 stipend paid at completion of season.

Top Hat Theatre shares a building with a company called Sunshine Blue Vintage China & Dish Rental which dresses tables for special events, mostly weddings.  Many events we do full banquet staffing for and are in NEED of additional staff members.  August 6 is the first date and this is simply an occasional way to earn more cash for your pocket without commitment past each event.  Looking for friendly, outgoing, fun folks who can hustle when we need to, and do some lifting. (Nothing terribly heavy... think a milk crate full of about 20 plates) Serving or banquet experience a plus, but not required. Pay is $15/hour. Most events will pay $75-$100.

Top Hat works closely with Nonna Rosa's restaurant in Robbinsdale providing audience interactive, dinner theater shows. They take place in the restaurate's party room and typically host about 40 guests at a pop.  Shows ARE SCRIPTED, but there is room to play and improvise a bit.  If you are a vocalist, we would love that, but if not, we are happy as long as you don't mind singing a bar song type tune as a group.  Looking for performers for our fall show with the following dates/times.  Title will be decided in the next week as we develop the plot for this one.  Just throwing it on here now because I am putting up an ad for all these other things!  FUN FUN FUN show/job.  You get paid $25/show (6-7 shows) plus food/booze and a fantasic night out.  Lots of laughs and good times to be had! Rehearsals will be Sundays and weekday evenings, but we usually only have about 10 rehearsals before we go up.  (Okay we've done it in 6, but who's counting?)  If interested, call or email for an appointment.  We'll start seeing people by private appointment asap.  AUDITIONS/REHEARSALS: 6404 Bass Lake Road, Crystal MN 55428 SHOWTIMES:    Friday, October 21st 8:30pm, Sunday, October 23rd 1pm, Friday, October 28th 8:30pm, Saturday, October 29th 8:30pm, Sunday, October 30th 1pm matinee and 6pm, Saturday, November 19th time TBD (evening, alternate location)
