2018-2019 General Auditions - Part 1

Lakeshore Players Theatre will hold their General Auditions for the first 5 shows of Season 66:

Cabaret - Sept 13 - 30, 2018. Directed by Paul Reyburn

Elephant & Piggie's We Are In A Play - October 10 - 20, 2018 (Possible school matinees October 11, 12, 17, 18, 19. Directed by Eric Norton

One Man, Two Guvnors - Oct 25 - Nov 11, 2018. Directed by Jeff Altier

It's A Wonderful Life - Nov 29 - Dec 16, 2018. Directed by Joe LaForte

A Sherlock Holmes Mystery - January 10 - 27, 2019. Directed by Joe Hendren

WHEN

Auditions will be held Monday June 11 & Tuesday, June 12 from 7:00 - 10:00 pm.

Callbacks will be held Monday, June 25 at 7:00 pm

WHERE

The Hanifl Performing Arts Center, 4941 Long Avenue, White Bear Lake, MN.

WHAT TO SEND

A photo, and a 1 page resume (or if no resumé, list past experiences on audition form available at sign-in).

Once information is received, we will send a link to sign up for an audition slot.

WHAT TO PREPARE

For musicals - 1 song and 1 monologue totaling NO MORE than 3 minutes.

For non-musicals - 2 contrasting monologues totaling NO MORE than 3 minutes.

One Man, Two Guvnors - 6M, 3W (Some actors/singers play multiple parts)

CHARLIE "The Duck" Clench: a retired gangster. Age range: Somewhere in his fifties. 

PAULINE: Clench's daughter. Age range: Twenties/Thirties.

ALAN DANGLE: A wannabe actor and Pauline's fiancé. Age range: Twenties/Thirties. 

HARRY DANGLE: Alan's father. Age range: Somewhere in his fifties/sixties. 

STANLEY STUBBERS: An upper-class criminal and Rachel's lover. Age range: Thirties. 

RACHEL CRABBE: Roscoe's identical twin sister. Age range: Twenties/Early Thirties. Pretending to be a man (her brother). 

FRANCIS HENSHALL: A scheming assistant. Age Range: Thirty-something.

LLOYD BOATENG: Charlie’s friend- an ex-con turned pub owner. Age range: Forties/Fifties. 

DOLLY: Charlie's secretary. Age range: Twenties/ Thirties. 

GARETH: Head waiter at The Cricketers’ Arms. Age range: Forties. 

ALFIE: Waiter. Age range: Ancient. Note: Lots of physical comedy and pratfalls – the actor playing this part must actually be nimble and agile.

ENSEMBLE: party guests, extra porters/waiters, passer-by, a vicar, policemen.

Elephant & Piggie's We Are In A Play - 5-7 Actors/singers

The Squirrelles - A trio of back-up singing squirrels; friends with Gerald and Piggie.

Dog - A dutiful delivery dog.

Penguin - A sarcastic ice cream seller.

It's A Wonderful Life - 12M, 10W, 2 boys, 2 girls (Doubling of roles likely)
