Mu Performing Arts & SteppingStone Theatre's auditions for "The Princess' Nightingale"

SteppingStone Theatre and Theater Mu Auditions for The Princess’ Nightingale!

SteppingStone Theater and Theater Mu are excited to co-produce Damon Chua’s thrilling new adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Nightingale,” set in eighteenth century China, where the prince and the princess of the dynasty embark on a magical competition to learn the wonders of their land. For the youth company, we are seeking 10-12 young men and women ages 10-19, and four adult actors ages 20 and up. For the adult roles, we're considering Equity and non-Equity actors; they are paid positions.

Auditions: Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 2-5 pm in 5-10 minute slots.

Callbacks: Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 6:30-9 pm.

Auditions and callbacks will be held at SteppingStone Theatre, located at 55 N. Victoria St., St. Paul, MN 55104. Please come to the door on the right side of the building; auditions and callbacks will be held in the lower level. Please do not park in the parking lot, as it is for staff only. There's free street parking all around the building, though mind the signs!

Materials will be provided for you at the audition. Please bring a clear photo of your face, along with a list of all known schedule conflicts from April 2-May 19. The photo will not be returned to you. Dress comfortably for movement, and be prepared to read from the script and sing a little something a cappella (no accompaniment) if you’re a singer. Being a singer is NOT a requirement.

Rehearsal period: April 2 – May 1, 2018.

Performance period: May 2 – May 19, 2018 (there are 10 weekday matinees for school groups).
