Musical Theater Training: Tap Dance Styles at the Guthrie Theater

In this intermediate dance class, students will learn time steps, maxifords, Irishes and how to buffalo. It’s fun and a great workout, too! Tap shoes and a knowledge of basic tap steps is required for this class. Led by local artist, Shinah Brashears.

Meisner Technique Summer Intensive

Spend your summer working intensively on your acting craft!

Twin Cities Meisner Training will be offering the Summer Meisner Technique Intensive taught by Rich Remedios. Level 1 will run June 11-26 (full schedule below). Level 2 will run July 9-24 (full schedule below)

Fee is $375 per student, per level. Each level is limited to 12 students. Attendance to all class meetings in addition to rehearsals outside of class is expected.

Teen Musical Theater Training

This summer, Lundstrum Performing Arts is offering musical theater intensives for youth performers ages 11-17.

These full-day musical theater intensives offer morning technical classes in tap, jazz, hip hop, acting, ballet, vocal technique, opera (instructred by Mill City Opera), scene work, and character analysis from professional teaching artists. These morning classes are followed by an afternoon of rehearsal, so students can apply their training in a fully realized musical with three performances.
